Faith. Family. Freedom

I'm Steffan Demetropoulos - husband, father of four, and Republican candidate for Congress in Michigan's 10th district. I'm running to restore strong leadership and protect the future for our families.

Meet Steffan

U.S. Army Veteran. Family Man. Construction Project Manager

Steffan Demetropoulos for U.S. Congress

Steffan is a Macomb County resident, U.S. Army veteran, and construction project manager. Steffan enlisted at 17 and served on active duty in the U.S. Army, including deployments to Afghanistan and Romania. After 10 years of military service, Steffan earned his bachelor's degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a graduate degree in project management from Louisiana State University. Steffan built a career in construction management, helping deliver complex projects, including K‑12 school facilities and public-sector work.

Steffan is a family man who believes leadership is demonstrated through service, accountability, and follow-through. Steffan’s professional work focuses on coordinating teams, managing budgets and schedules, and solving real-world problems under pressure—skills Steffan believes are essential for effective public leadership. Steffan lives in Michigan with deep roots in the community and a commitment to supporting families, workers, and the next generation.

Why I'm Running

Service has always been at the core of who I am. From a young age, I felt a responsibility to contribute to something bigger than myself and to help protect and strengthen our country. That commitment began at 17, when I joined the United States Army. Like many Americans of my generation, I was shaped by the events of September 11th. Watching the Twin Towers fall while sitting in a third‑grade classroom made it clear to me that freedom and security are never guaranteed; they require men and women willing to step forward and serve. After leaving active duty, I built a life, a career, and a family here at home. But I’ve always felt that same sense of responsibility calling me forward again, this time to serve in a different capacity. I believe leadership means accountability, humility, and the willingness to make difficult decisions in the best interest of future generations. Our country faces serious challenges, and Michigan feels them every day. Families are struggling with affordability. Government spending is out of control. Trust in institutions has eroded. And too often, political leaders focus on division instead of solutions.

Protecting the Next Generation

Our children deserve schools that prioritize learning, critical thinking, and personal development, not political or corporate agendas. We must invest in strong educational foundations, safeguard children's well-being, and ensure families have a voice in their children's education and upbringing. I'm not running to be a career politician. I'm running to serve, with discipline, accountability, and a commitment to leaving this country stronger than we found it. This moment requires leadership, and I believe our generation has both the responsibility and the capability to step forward and deliver it.

Accountable, Transparent Government

Americans deserve a government that works for them, not against them. I believe in limited government, transparency, and restoring trust by focusing on results instead of rhetoric. While I am a conservative Republican, I believe leadership means representing all constituents with integrity and respect.

Affordability and Fiscal Responsibility

For decades, Washington has spent beyond its means under both parties, leaving our children with trillions in debt. Reckless spending fuels inflation and erodes the value of every dollar working families earn. We need to control spending, eliminate waste, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly, here at home, for the people who earned them.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am running because Michigan families deserve accountable leadership focused on lowering costs, protecting opportunity, and securing a better future for the next generation. As a husband, father of four, Army combat veteran, and construction project manager, I understand service, discipline, and real-world responsibility. I am not a career politician. I am an everyday American who wants to restore trust in government and give the people of our district a voice in Washington.

My priorities are straightforward: restoring fiscal responsibility, increasing government transparency, and protecting the future of our children. That means reducing wasteful spending, strengthening economic opportunity for working families, and ensuring parents have a voice in their children's education. Leadership should focus on practical solutions that improve everyday life for Michigan families.

I did not spend years building political connections or preparing for my next campaign. I spent those years serving my country, building a career in the private sector, raising a family, and living with the same responsibilities and concerns as the people I hope to represent.

I am a husband and a father of four. At the end of each day, I come home to my family—and one day, I will have to look my children in the eyes and explain how I voted on the decisions that shaped their future. That responsibility will always matter more to me than party pressure, political favors, or advancing a career in Washington.

My military service taught me what it truly means to put the mission and the people you serve ahead of yourself. As an Army combat veteran who deployed to Afghanistan, I was willing to put my life on the line for this country. I understand duty, sacrifice, accountability, and the seriousness of the oath taken by those who serve. I am ready to bring that same commitment to Congress.

My private-sector career has also prepared me to represent this district. As a construction project manager building schools in our communities, I manage multimillion-dollar projects involving taxpayer funds, detailed budgets, demanding schedules, contractors, skilled tradespeople, school officials, and the public. My job requires me to solve problems, control costs, communicate clearly, and deliver results. Missing a deadline or ignoring a budget is not acceptable in the real world, and it should not be acceptable in government.

Most importantly, I will remain available to the people I represent. My phone number and email address are publicly listed on this website because voters should not have to navigate layers of staff or political insiders to be heard. I will speak with anyone, regardless of whether we agree on every issue, because every person in this district matters.

I am not running to gain a title or become part of the political establishment. I am running to serve. I will listen, remain accountable, and remember every day that this position belongs to the people, not the person elected to hold it.
